Lucknow: The ‘Great Shaktiswaroopa Utsav,’ organized by Nav Anshika Foundation to celebrate Women’s Month throughout March, concluded with the ‘Nav Anshika Tejaswini Samman’ ceremony at JC Guest House, Nirala Nagar. Aparna Yadav, Vice Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Ritu Shahi, a member of the commission, attended as the special guest.
During the event, eight distinguished women who have excelled in various fields were honored. Nav Anshika Foundation’s Chairperson Neeshu Tyagi presented Aparna Yadav with a memento, an honorary shawl, and a bouquet to mark the occasion.
The evening featured captivating cultural performances, starting with the invocation of Lord Ganesha, followed by devotional songs celebrating the auspicious Navratri festival. The event was attended by several notable guests, including Rishi Verma, Savitri Devi, senior medical specialist Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, senior social worker and patron of Adarsh Vyapar Mandal-Bhootnath Shikha Singh, proprietor of ‘Mithaiwala’ Pushpa Jaiswal, social worker Shatakshi Jaiswal, and actress Vijay Laxmi Gupta.

- Senior Citizen Award: Social Worker Chandra Prabha Mayer
- Sports: Hockey Coach Pooja Nishad
- Culture: International Kathak Dancer Surabhi Singh
- Education: Principal Ruchi Yadav
- Medicine: Dermatologist Dr. Pranshu Mishra (MBBS-MD)
- Astrology: Numerologist Shilpi Pahwa
- Non-Traditional Fields for Women: Auto Driver Sarita Sharma and Professional Driver Vasant Verma
Chairperson Neeshu Tyagi highlighted that since International Women’s Day fell on a Saturday this year, special events were held on all Saturdays throughout the month. The first event honored working-class women by celebrating their birthdays and presenting them with gifts. On March 8, a painting competition and cultural programs were organized at Awadh Academy Inter College, Ayodhya Road, under the theme ‘Nari Ek Roop Anek.’
On March 15, ‘Rang-Rangili Saheli’ was organized in Rail Vihar Colony, Gomti Nagar, to celebrate Holi. Further, on March 22, awareness campaigns were conducted for women’s empowerment. The final event of this initiative was the ‘Nav Anshika Tejaswini Samman’ ceremony.
The event was also attended by Neera Lohani, Vice President of Nav Anshika Foundation, Dabir Siddiqui, Secretary of the Theater and Film Welfare Association, and other esteemed guests.
